Creating an everlasting impression, the children of Presidium Kalyan Vihar participated in the Role Play Stand-up Act Competition. Dramatization from each one of these participants screamed out to enlighten the beautiful art. From modern Sita to comedian Kapil Sharma, everyone seemed to participate actively in today's politics. On the other hand our very own superheroes came to life. The participants seemed pretty comfortable in their character’s shoes. It was not just participation but the whole presentation came to life showcasing that fun and learning can always be moulded into each other with great poise.

The two day long gala event, Future Fest 2019, held at Siri Fort Auditorium on 16th & 17th February saw some of the most entertaining and spectacular performances by our young leaders of tomorrow. It was a celebration of the genius, skill, ideas, passion, craft and talents of our young Presidians. The event began with a soulful rendition of Ganesh Vandana followed by performances on various social issues and a tribute to our brave soldiers. The enthusiasm and energy of the young performers could be felt in the auditorium as the audience cheered for the Presidians.

JUST A MINUTE ACTIVITY: A PLATFORM TO SHOWCASE HIDDEN TALENTS

Just a minute activity serves as a wonderful platform for talented students to showcase themselves. The objective behind organizing such competitions is to nurture the intrinsic qualities of students thereby overcoming the fear of the stage. It not only helps in personality development but also boosts the morale of the individual. Participants gave a tough competition to each other by singing traditional folk songs, dancing on foot tapping numbers and even patriotic beats. Some of them even narrated stories & tales. Mimicry was also enjoyed by everyone. All the participants were feeling contented and more confident after presenting their talent in front of their friends on the stage.

LEARNING ABOUT INVENTIONS & NEW CONCEPTS ON NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY!

A special assembly on National Science Day was recently conducted in the school premises. The students of grades 1 to 5 enthusiastically entertained the audience with the famous inventions of well known scientists. A poem incorporating ‘Gravity’ was also recited. The students got the chance to observe lots of interesting aspects of science applied in our day to day life. They were even amazed to see a variety of fun experiments. The celebration helped in promoting active involvement of students and teachers in science related activity. It encouraged students to ask questions and to get doubts cleared in different areas of science and promoted their effective participation. The objective was to enable students to know about the latest developments in the fields of science and technology and encourage scientific thinking.

YOGA 'SADHAKS' OF PRESIDIUM BRING LAURELS TO THE SCHOOL

Students of Presidium Kalyan Vihar added another feather to their cap as they excelled at the 8th Inter
School Yoga Championship organized by Fuelz Events Management Company, Adharsheela Global School, Vasundhara Ghaziabad. Our yog-sadhaks showed their strength, flexibility, control and grit as they performed awe-inspiring yoga poses with grace and ease. From sun salutations to wheel pose to shoulder stand pose, they made it all look like a cakewalk. Presiding brought laurels to the school with their outstanding achievements, winning Gold, Silver & Bronze medals in various categories. Presidium Kalyan Vihar was also awarded the Overall Champions Trophy.

Presidium Kalyan Vihar organized a special assembly on Martyr’s Day The school choir group started with their musical tribute to the unsung heroes and freedom fighters of the country. The environment of the assembly got lit up with a skit on our immortal freedom fighters. The dance performance enhanced the feeling of patriotism amongst the students. The day helped in imparting the lesson of love for one’s own motherland among the leaders of tomorrow.

SPELLATHON: PRESIDIANS ENHANCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF WORDS

Knowing how to spell is important for writing, reading and is the most useful skill which builds the basic foundation of the educational journey of a student. To enrich the vocabulary, pronunciation and understanding of words, an Intra Class Spellathon Competition was recently conducted in Presidium Kalyan Vihar for the students of grades Nursery and Prep. Featuring multiple rounds like warm up round, jumbled round, similar words round, visual round, guess the words round, audience round, it was a knowledge packed contest. All these activities promoted their speech recognition, vocabulary, phonic skills, talent while concentrating on language building.

REPUBLIC DAY: PRESIDIANS PAY HOMAGE TO THE FREEDOM FIGHTERS

Republic Day is a celebration of democracy and diversity of India which embarks the sense of patriotism in every Indian. The patriotic fervour warmed up the cold winter morning as the Republic Day celebration commenced with unfurling of the national flag joined by Shri M.P. Singh, Founder Mother’s Pride Kalyan Vihar. The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the mellifluous school choir crooned the Patriotic Song. Students presented an awe-inspiring rendition of patriotism through a skit, which made everyone bow in allegiance to the brave freedom fighters who laid their lives for the motherland. The highlight of the day was a scintillating dance performance on Incredible India. Towards the end, Presidians pledged to uphold the honour of Indian and take it to the right path of progress.

PRESIDIANS LEAD THE CHANGE TOWARDS GIRL EDUCATION & EMPOWERMENT

Presidium Kalyan Vihar organized the National Girl Child Day with full throttle. Young Presidians dressed up as the famous personalities like Kalpana Chawla, Saina Nehwal, Pratibha Patil and Mary Kom. A skit was presented highlighting a small girl’s wish to get educated and stand up for herself. The skit also talked about a mother’s wish to see her baby girl as an accomplished woman was beautiful expressed. The aim of the assembly was to sensitize students and encourage them to lead the change towards girl education and empowerment.
