Every year, India observes National Energy Conservation on December 14. It aims to generate awareness among the masses in India about the importance of saving energy. Information is given on minimizing energy waste and how the public can do their part in conserving resources. Essentially, the main objective of the day is to reduce the use of energy and to encourage people to use it efficiently. Presidians observed National Energy Conservation Day and presented their thoughts in the special assembly, about the need to conserve energy to build a sustainable future. They showcased poems and speeches wherein they talked about the various big and small steps that each individual can take to contribute to saving energy such as using LED bulbs, solar energy, using 5 star rated appliances, etc. In the end, they pledged a wholehearted commitment towards energy conservation.
