Just like an onion, our earth is made up of concentric layers one inside the other. Students of Grade 7 learnt about the various layers of the earth under Geography lesson 'Inside Our Earth.' They understood that the interior of the Earth consists of crust, mantle, and core. The earth’s crust is made up of various types of rocks. They also gained knowledge about the three major types of rocks: igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks. The presentation helped them deduce that our Earth is a dynamic planet, which constantly undergoes changes inside and outside.
