Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival celebrated with much fervor across India. Lord Ganesh or the elephant deity is considered the God of wisdom and new beginnings. Thus, people across the world worship him before initiating any work. It is believed that he removes obstacles and blesses the course of the believer. A special assembly was organized on a virtual platform in Presidium on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, which commenced with a rhythmic poem, followed by speeches and traditional dance performances. The day ended with a lot of learning and the visarjan of eco-friendly Lord Ganesha in the nearby water bodies. In a way, such organized festivity and worship lead to an upsurge in enthusiasm and devotion amongst students.
