The National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated every year on December 14 since 1991 by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency under the Ministry of Power to showcase India's achievement in energy efficiency and conservation. With this theme, a special virtual assembly was conducted wherein Grades 1 to 3 participated enthusiastically. The assembly kick-started with English and Hindi speeches explaining the different ways to conserve energy like replacing light bulbs with LEDs, usage of smart power strips, use of solar energy, etc. The Presidians also raised slogans giving a message to all - SAVE ENERGY, SAVE THE PLANET. The message was clearly communicated that it is possible to reduce electricity costs by using more efficient appliances. The assembly was not only informative but very lively and interactive too.
