Considering that reading not only helps students in becoming familiar with sounds, words, and languages but also stimulates their curiosity and imagination. Keeping this in mind, students of Grade Nursery and Prep participated in a Picture Reading Competition. Students were shown a variety of colorful pictures on which they had to speak a few lines and described them in their own words. The competition not only helped little Presidians in exploring early reading skills for fun but also engaged them in a beautiful learning experience. Developing early literacy skills like the ability to listen and understand words, the enjoyable picture reading session enabled our vivid readers to respond to the images creatively. Children simply identified what is going on in the picture and found their meaning in pictures too confidently. All in all, they thoroughly enjoyed this activity as they were encouraged to speak to develop their English language skills.
