Spelling is considered an important aspect of literacy (reading, writing, and spelling). Spelling is not an easy process but when children understand, unfamiliar words become easier. Keeping this in mind an Intra Class Spellathon Competition was organized by the Story Tellers Academy for students of Grades Nursery and Prep at Presidium. The Competition started with Warm Up Round where the students had to list as many words as they could related to classroom followed by Jumbled Words wherein the students had to work together to find out the word and arrange its correct spellings. Other rounds such as Similar Word Round, Visual Round, and  Guess the Word Round were also a part of it. All these activities promoted their speech recognition, vocabulary and other phonics skills and talents. This competition was a rather amazing platform for students to learn new words, enhance their vocabulary and concentrate on language building.
